Looking after our Patients and protecting our Staff

At Skin Deep Medical, the safety of our patients and staff remains our top priority as we navigate through these challenging times. We have been working hard to get everything ready to make sure you can continue to have treatment with us safely

Like everyone, our patients and our employees are worried about their wellbeing. We have made significant changes to our services and our way of working. Safety measures go over and above official guidance to ensure that we are protecting you and our staff

As the lockdown restrictions start to ease, we are pleased to confirm that some of our clinics are now open. We appreciate that some of the changes being made may be inconvenient to you and we know that life is going to be different for all of us. However, we remain committed to adapting and changing our working practices to make sure we are serving you as best we can

The health, wellbeing and safety of our clients, their families and our staff remain our top priority. Thank you for your understanding

Keeping you safe when you visit us

We completely understand you may be nervous about having treatment.

The truth is your visit will be different. There will be more safety measures in place and consequently, our salons will feel more ‘clinical’. Our healthcare professionals will be wearing more safety clothing and face wear and receptionists will be behind screens and wearing masks too.

We will also ask you to use hand sanitiser and wear a face mask while in the salon for everyone’s protection (these can be provided)

Please be aware that it might take us a little longer than normal to schedule your appointment

Do not hesitate to contact us if you would like more information on what we are doing, have questions or would just like to have a chat. Our contact details are

COVID-19 Information & FAQs

We have put together the answers to some of the most commonly asked questions along with other information you should know

Is it safe to have treatment while some COVID-19 restrictions are still in place?
Yes provided the new guidelines put in place are followed – See the information & FAQs below and our website

How do I make an appointment?
Appointments can be made over the phone, by text, email or via our website

Phone: 0800 773 4160
Phone, text & WhatsApp: 07919 438727
Email: help@skindeepmedical.co.uk
Website: www.skindeepmedical.co.uk

Are you accepting new clients?
New clients are welcome

I fall into the ‘vulnerable people’ category – Can I have treatment?
People of all ages can be infected by the new coronavirus (COVID19). Older people and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as obesity, asthma, diabetes, heart disease, etc.) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus. Skin Deep Medical will not treat clients deemed to be at risk

If you have had a fever, dry cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, loss of sense of taste and/or smell, a runny nose, diarrhoea or have been tested positive for ACTIVE COVID-19 in the last 7 days or if you have been in contact with someone with any of the aforementioned, you cannot be treated

Do I need to do anything before I come?
A pre appointment health screening and medical consent forms should be completed before your appointment. These can be completed online via our website or downloaded and printed. If this is not possible, a trained member of staff may populate these forms via a telephone call or on the day of your appointment

Travel
Clients should travel to and from the clinic avoiding public transport if possible. They should come alone without personal belongings except for their phone. If possible, travel direct to the salon from home and please do not attend after shopping trips or similar trips where you may not have been able to maintain social distancing

Appointment
Clients should arrive at the clinic at their appointment time only (not early or late) wearing their face mask/covering with no makeup (masks may be provided on arrival if the patient does not have a face covering). The waiting room and toilet facilities are not currently in use. This is why we advise it is important for you not to arrive late/early for your appointment or to come with others. A trained member of staff wearing PPE will open the front door and lead the patient to a safe waiting zone or directly into a treatment room. Your body temperature will be taken on arrival at the salon using a contactless thermometer. You will not be able to have treatment if you are running a temperature. We will not be able to spend as much time with you as we normally would (we like to spend time catching up with you but will not be able to do so in line with current safety protocols)

Treatment
Treatment is at the discretion of the healthcare professional who reserves the right not to provide treatment

Payment for Treatment
Payment for treatment should be made 48 hours in advance of your appointment by calling us on 0800 773 4160 or 07919 438727. Payment can be made by credit or debit card or internet banking (bank account details will be provided on request)

Minimising Contact
The risk of COVID-19 transmission is increased when people remain in proximity to one another for long periods. Given the current knowledge we have it would appear that the transmission of COVID-19 is thought to occur through respiratory droplets or contact with contaminated surfaces (WHO review). Clients should be in the salon for the minimal time necessary to carry out treatment (no more than 15 minutes)

How will we protect you and our team with PPE?

All treating staff will be wearing the following:

  • Visors
  • Surgical Face Masks
  • Nitrile Gloves
  • Disposable Aprons

After each client, we will perform an enhanced COVID-19 cleaning regime which includes disinfecting all surfaces in preparation for the next client. Staff uniforms will be washed daily at temperatures above 60C

Social Distancing
Social distancing will be maintained throughout your appointment. The only exception to this will be the physical provision of the treatment

Virtual Consultations and Follow-ups
Follow-up appointments if required can significantly reduce time spent in the salon. These can be undertaken via a virtual GDPR compliant system

Why are these measures important?
You may notice that we have additional safety measures when compared to other types of businesses. These have been put in place because we are offering you medical and cosmetic treatments. We have a duty to offer these treatments in a safe setting for you and our staff
